I think I'm late to the bandwagon, but I'm really starting to like #rss. Currently using #AntennaPod for podcasts and #feeder for news articles. My life has thoroughly changed for the better.

I installed elfeed along with elfeed-org long ago, but didn't maintain the habit of using rss until I found a good mobile client that works for me (newblur). It feels to great to have command over the information that I receive, and to have a uniform experience when consuming them.
Also, thank you for mentioning AntannaPod! I wasn't aware of FOSS podcast clients before, and it's nice to replace yet another Google application.
