I -- like many -- am loving the experience here on Mastodon! But perhaps also like many: I have struggled to not gawk at the chaos on the birdsite. As it was when Trump on the platform: whenever I feel I have steeled my resolve to not be trolled, it finds some new level of insanity. (CEO code reviews at 1:30a?! WAT?!) Today I have resolved to do a Twitter fast, and I am amazed at how much muscle memory I have for the birdsite -- but also how easy it ultimately is to restrict myself to Mastodon!

@bcantrill the other day i gave it up, I didn't burn it down like others but I did just change my password to stop the stalking of folks on the other side and forget it all. Its coming along nicely, i don't regret it for a minute.
