It did everything in reverse order: it put the vacuum cleaner in reverse then went on puffing instead of sucking air, then cleaned the rock before abrading it.
The correct order (to avoid other half's complaints):
Abrade, put the vacuum cleaner in suck mode, then clean up the mess.
Obviously Percy is a bachelor and does things the way it wants 😜
