submersibles

I can't help but remember the Apollo 1 fire when thinking about these poor men on the submarine. If they get to the surface but don't get found they're still stuck because they can't open the door because its bolted shut on the outside.

Apollo 1, the hatch opened inwards and played a part in the lack of ability for crew egress when the capsule caught fire. Trapping them inside in the fire rather than allowing their escape.

My guess is that the hatch opens outwards on the sub but the bolts prevent opening, I wonder how other deep sea subs operate in this regard.

@puercomal @matthewskelton I was looking at a slack thread yesterday where people were asking how to unsubscribe from notificatoins from groups they were never in and the process involved some custom notification configuration, many screenshots and arrows pointing to what to click, I can't believe how horrid the flow is for large orgs.

Not often I get to see my boat from not on my boat and what a backdrop thanks to the marina staff!

For the first time in a long time, I also knocked up a bit of a vlog from the walk.

Sounds a bit garbage because it was windy and I was missing a dead cat, but it's not the worst!

Enjoy:

I finally got my youngest kid enjoying her time sailing rather than sitting around freaking out about the boat healing over
