@ellisgl I was offered $5/hr (a bit over minimum wage in Romania) to implement an ERP module and help the company that made the ERP software to design the module that should have optimized the processes for a factory with hundreds of employees in different departments. The owner told me at the interview that I don’t produce anything at the beginning, so he doesn’t see any reason to pay me more. But he did want somebody with an engineering degree, advanced technical skills and very good English. I left after 2 months and all my work went to shit because they weren’t capable to continue it and they couldn’t find another person to accept such a low payment. I don’t think I will ever accept to sell my skills so cheap… I’d rather go for unskilled labor positions and be paid the same.
