@deshipu ah so the board is open source but the RP2040 is closed?
Does anyone in the #makerspace #maker #raspberrypi #circuitpython #picow communities know what the reasons behind the delay in #ble Bluetooth support for pico w and circuitpython is?
@geekmomprojects are you going to blog/open source these? Would love to try it but 3D print the case as I don’t have a CNC…. Yet.
The pendants are finished aside from adding a string/clasp. I had some heart-shaped PCBs from the last time I worked on this project, so I built those as well.
@OpinionatedGeek yeah I always forget I can do that and have to do it this way. This cluster has been gathering dust for a while so reimaged the machines. I have a linode cluster running an api a website and a database but I barely use it and it costs about £60 a month. So going to see if I can use ngrok to expose this cluster safely and just fire a cname to the domain via DNS… if it works I can kill my expensive linode cluster.

@benc @firestarter451 in response to the original question. I built a GPS tracker with GSM and an API that it posts to and an iPhone app to view the location. Tracker turned out to be far too big, but it was so much fun. And I’ve started to lean how to build my own PCBs on the back of it. Will revisit the project soon in an attempt to shrink it. There’s a lot of off the shelf options but I wanted to build my own.
@benc @firestarter451 yeah I’ve moved onto a backend/devops role and there’s not much you can show your partner and have them go “oh that’s cool” but change some led colour when I send a tweet and they can see it and appreciate it
Tonight’s #Horror is Event Horizon. One of the few films in my lifetime that actually scared me when I watched it originally
@maartje I watched this with headphones, primarily for the nostalgia of hearing a floppy drive be loaded and chug away. Love it. Winforms was the real glory days of software imo... also the last time I felt capable of doing any UI work.
@Raspberry_Pi@raspberrypi.social this would be the work of @Bhaal_Spawn
Software, IOT, Cloud, weight lifting and too much wine.
