There are many people on Mastodon who are good and smart and cool and who genuinely care about marginalized communities. There are also many of those same people who, for whatever reason, don't add #AltText (aka "captions") to the images they post.

Let's change that!

It's easier to do than it seems, and there are tools like @PleaseCaption that will remind you. Plus more people will get to enjoy your posts and some users will only boost image posts that include alt text.

They will make you pay a HUGE amount of your income for #healthcare and strangle #providers with pitiful payments. We've been pursuing this issue is Tennessee for the last several years. We asked for a copy of the Tennessee Code annotated and the state responded "we do not possess the record." (sic!) https://law.resource.org/pub/us/code/tn/ We sued, and our next brief, before the Tennessee Court of Appeals, will be filed in January.

You can create multiple accounts on Mastodon. If you want to observe some of the more objectionable instances, just create an account on one or more of those instances. Don't ask that others be exposed to objectionable material just so that you can observe it for research purposes.

I don't understand why they are asking for the entire Newsie instance to change just so they don't have to create an extra account.

Is there some reason they don't want to create another account?
