Please come be one of my colleagues! The #RSEng team at UKAEA (UK Atomic Energy Authority) is hiring. We do that #FusionEnergy stuff you might have been hearing about, so if you want to see how #ResearchSoftware can be used to help create a cleaner energy supply, please apply at this link: https://smrtr.io/dZQhm
Registration for #RSECon23 is live with information about the different ticket types. It is a hybrid conference with in-person and remote participation 🎟
We are also looking for volunteers to help run the conference! You get entrance, meals, and a great t-shirt as compensation 👕
Check the website for details.
Well, my toot rate was basically nonexistent for #SSI #CollabW23 , but with good reason that it was so engaging and I hardly checked my phone. Perhaps I'll make a proper recap at some point, but I want to make one call out: I'm super proud of my #HackDay team that took the concept of #RSEng Skill Development Pathways and produced a proof of concept for what that resource might look like. You can find the website here https://rsetoolkit.github.io/training/ (rough around the edges) and GitHub repo here https://github.com/RSEToolkit/training . We are really keen to see this take off and know that it will need input from the community to keep it going. Please get in touch if you are interested. @researchsoftware
Day 1 of #CollabW23 by the #SSI is now kicking off! Loving the small tech area stickers for the name badges 😁 Looking forward to three days of intense but super fun discussions and activities around #ResearchSoftware and #RSEng
First blog post in a while. Musing on how central #RSEng teams can be structured and my experience in a central team. Comments and thoughts welcome 🤓
