Check out this best worst thing I found. It is my UX nightmare but also fun to play.

We spend roughly 10x as much time reading code as we do writing it. A tool or technique that makes you twice as "productive" at writing code *at best* makes you 5% more productive over all. Making your code easier to understand will have 10x the impact. But that doesn't sell tools, so you won't be reading about it in Forbes.

Well, my toot rate was basically nonexistent for , but with good reason that it was so engaging and I hardly checked my phone. Perhaps I'll make a proper recap at some point, but I want to make one call out: I'm super proud of my team that took the concept of Skill Development Pathways and produced a proof of concept for what that resource might look like. You can find the website here rsetoolkit.github.io/training/ (rough around the edges) and GitHub repo here github.com/RSEToolkit/training . We are really keen to see this take off and know that it will need input from the community to keep it going. Please get in touch if you are interested. @researchsoftware

My blue tick appears to have suffered a rapid unscheduled disassembly.

I think that's how Elon would want me to say it.

If you're interested in particular topics, you can join Fediverse groups. They work like this:

1. Join a group by following its account
2. Posts from that group will start appearing in your timeline
2. Post to a group by mentioning it in a public post
4. Leave the group by unfollowing it

The groups work via third party services, the most popular ones at the moment are chirp.social and a.gup.pe.

First #RaspberryPi earned a shitstorm by hiring a cop formerly specialized in hidden surveillance.

Now they accept an investment by Sony for their proprietary AI engine to be included in the next Pi. Which "only sends metadata to the cloud".

Here's a fine list of alternatives to that now-garbage company:
