@marathon Yes, one-sided indeed, and inaccurate. I think there are two factors which are the main reasons for the disinformation, first reason:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timber_S

...and regarding CIA propaganda infrastructure internationally (this video is old, but practices remain):

@MacLemon I'm not sure about the year, could have early 90s also, know for sure it was before 1997. From what I remember it had color screen, so perhaps Macintosh LC or Macintosh IIx, definitely still 68k based.

@MacLemon @th I humbly disagree, seen a "bomb mouse pointer" for real around 1989.

@th Is the mouse pointer turning into a "bomb" still a thing on Apple?

I left Sweden a decade and a half ago, but recently I have set my phone to the Swedish language. Why? Well why not? It feels comfortable somehow to see some of my native language when I use the phone.

As a side effect, Newpipe will now be showing me the popular videos in Swedish. And wow... What the hell is going to on with my home country?

If these recommendations are to be trusted, Swedish youtube culture is absolutely terrible. With "influencers" posting vacuous videos with no content other that literally what they had for lunch, with the comments of the vomit inducing type such as "fan vad härliga ni är". Just typing that made me feel a bit sick.

Not to be mention the comedic content which are on the level of a 3 year old.

I mean, it makes Singapore's youtubers, which have been accused of being infantile and formulaic, seem like high art in comparison.

Is it just because I've been away from Sweden for so long that I find this to be embarrassingly bad to the point that I cannot even watch it at all? Or is it really that horrible?

I know there are some Swedish speakers that follow me, please let me know whether I'm right?

@loke As an expat with similar concerns, what hurt me the most is that Sweden has turned right wing with fascist tendencies while I was away. I'm a socialist who believes in the welfare state, it makes me proud how we used take care of the weakest members of our society and accept immigrants with open arms, now it's the opposite.
