The bitslip protection data — besides being a specially designed sequence of 1s and 0s — is also a valid nibble sequence within a normal DOS 3.3-style sector. So if you fast-copy (sector copy) the entire disk, it will give zero errors (but the specially designed sequence is gone). If you boot the copy, it will look like it works... until you actually start a bit copy operation, at which point it will crash as an intentional delayed effect of the protection failure.

Wanted to have some fun with my Playstation Mouse last night, put in Final Doom!
In this case you'd think the D-pad would be WASD, but actually left and right turn you (like the mouse does), and you have to hold the right mouse button down, and then left and right become strafe.
