Mastodon has changed how I think. Twitter now seems like a server that doesn't want to federate with anyone else, and that everyone else has blacklisted. I'm in awe of how much sense that makes.

Yup, there was a bit of resentment.

Thanks to posts like yours, I now anderstand twittas just couldn't get the concept of federation.

@ffeth That's it exactly! I didn't even know that federation was a thing, I didn't know I needed it. Another person made the analogy of Neo in The Matrix, it feels like I've been "unplugged" from Twitter and I'm learning how the real world works.
