To those that say only the privileged can afford to leave Twitter, I argue that it is far more privileged to ask your audience to join you on an immensely hostile and hate-filled platform. @arielwaldman @dgoldsmith A majority of people are really addicted to attention from their "followers". The moment they look at Mastodon, they realise that their "popularity" means almost nothing here and that's a big reason why they stay there.
