It still amazes me that organisations and people are so lazy as to not want to fix their inherently stupid mistakes of having relied entirely on Twitter in the first place. Staying is just denial.

Stand-your-ground laws say you can shoot anyone who scares you, even if your fears are mistaken. The republicans and their media outlets say you should be in constant endless fear. It seems like a combination designed to create chaos and carnage. Lord save us all from rich people who see benefit in chaos and carnage.

Yes, I agree Mastodon can be a lot "slower". But seeing how Twitter is taking a huge nose dive, and I don't want to be anywhere on it when it does explode, the "slower" aspect suits me fine for now. 😀

PS. For those who don’t know, passage in the House of Representatives doesn’t mean passage into law — it’s red meat for the US conservative base — but it must be terrifying as hell to be on the receiving end of such showboating, knowing what it encourages on the ground.
