@DemocracyMattersALot They're not even debates. American politicians never actually debate. I watch debates all of the time. There are almost no American politicians who could actually debate anything. And there's literally no Republican politician who would ever - ever - consider attending a real debate.

I'm sorry to say it, but the vast majority of Americans don't know what a real debate is.

Twitter is no longer labeling state-controlled media and propaganda agencies, will no longer prohibit their content from being automatically promoted or recommended, boosting Kremlin’s ability to spread lies about Ukraine, US politics and other topics.

Switching back from #obsidian and #logseq to #emacs and #orgmode (+#orgroam) feels like a step from someone else's home into a thriving forest: such a rich eco-system! Found #systemcrafters an invaluable resource to get quickly from vanilla emacs to something which exceeds or is on par with the alternatives in all aspects that matter: configurability, extendability, control, speed, resources, android support via #orgzly, themes, #foss, local first, future proof,....

In case you haven't heard, Red Hat is laying off people today, and I'm one of them. My 'career' as a Hatter lasted just over 15 months, much less time than I had planned or expected.

Many of you know me well, and know that I have extensive background in open source software, project management, open source business, and lots of related activities. If you're aware of any opportunities which may be of interest, feel free to send them my way via any channel you like.

Boosts much appreciated, of course, and thanks in advance!

@popsci Mine actually aren't. I clean them after every use. Literally. I won't put them away until I wipe them down with disinfecting towelettes. Sorry for disappointing. 😀

@fribbledom I don't know...mine has 32GB and it's more than enough for incredible amounts of operations. Also I have about 200+ tabs open in Safari under something like 20 groups and there's literally no slowdown. If I have to relaunch it, it takes about 1 or 2 seconds. It hasn't been an issue for years and years for me.

Also I get the same kind of response on my iPhone and iPad Pro.

Bit of a long shot, but could my good mastodon follower folk give me some boosts?

I'm starting work on a documentary podcast series about the future of space; renewable/sustainable technologies, commercialism in the sector and the public's perception of it all.

I'm hoping to connect with people who know space to complement my client's contacts, so any signal boosting would be appreciated!

"Following intense negotiation over the past 48 hours, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have agreed to implement a nationwide ceasefire starting at midnight on April 24, to last for 72 hours," says US Secretary of State Blinken in a statement. "During this period, the United States urges the SAF and RSF to immediately and fully uphold the ceasefire." #Sudan

I know people want to take joy in this moment, but Carlson is still obscenely wealthy and Fox News still exists and its viewers are still willing members of a fascist death cult.
Carlson is likely miserable at his new lack of status, but that's probably the only good news here.

I couldn't be happier that Fox apparently threw out Tucker Carlson, but that does not in any way absolve them of any of their crimes - fraud, defamation, sedition and others counted amongst them.

In the last few days I've mysteriously gotten an uptick in emails and messages about Bea Wolf. I have no idea why, and that is excellent.
