@xenodium Awesome. Can't wait. This thing is really remarkable, tbh.

@xenodium It is good. 👍 Are you still going to be releasing your Dall-E shell? The ChatGPT one works like a charm for me.

@ctietze I honestly don't know. I just use my ipad cam or macbook pro and I've never had issues. 😕

@ctietze Why not plug your phone in when you are using it at the desk?

#Protesters #arrested for supporting #trans #lawmaker #ZooeyZephyr: ‘We will not be #silenced'.

The following legislative session, #Fascist House speaker #MattRegier blockaded the #trans #politician from #speaking on future #bills unless she #publicly #apologises.

Zephyr, many activists, and #Montana #politicians heavily criticised the move, saying that the decision was a slippery slope to “#fascism.”

@daviwil Then I eagerly await your conclusions in a broadcast at some point in the near future.

Why are so many memes such rotten quality pictures? This isn't the early 2000s anymore.

@daviwil I think that for editing text for writers, meow is just much better. At least that's my experience. I honestly don't know how it compares to evil mode for coders.

Next on my agenda is giving Meow a fair shot. It's a bit different than #emacs evil-mode, so it will take some adjustment.

I'm hoping that it will feel more familiar than god-mode!

I'm so glad I made the switch to #emacs. Regardless of anything else, it's just a lot of fun to tinker with. Thank you @daviwil for your excellent videos, I'm gradually making my way through the back catalogue 🙂

Good morning to readers. Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands.

Some career news: I’m leaving NPR as part of the layoffs that dramatically reduced the company’s workforce.

I’ve decided to go back into Ukraine to keep reporting.

But this time, alone.

@Cloudguy @publicvoit Fortunately, I stopped using Alexa about 2 years ago. 👍

Google has just updated its 2FA Authenticator app and added a much-needed feature: the ability to sync secrets across devices.

TL;DR: Don't turn it on.

The new update allows users to sign in with their Google Account and sync 2FA secrets across their iOS and Android devices.

We analyzed the network traffic when the app syncs the secrets, and it turns out the traffic is not end-to-end encrypted. As shown in the screenshots, this means that Google can see the secrets, likely even while they’re stored on their servers. There is no option to add a passphrase to protect the secrets, to make them accessible only by the user.

Why is this bad?

Every 2FA QR code contains a secret, or a seed, that’s used to generate the one-time codes. If someone else knows the secret, they can generate the same one-time codes and defeat 2FA protections. So, if there’s ever a data breach or if someone obtains access ....
