Last week I got to portray princess Cecilia Vasa, born 1540, daughter of the Swedish king Gustav Vasa. She was a rebel, friend of Elizabeth I and later in life a successful privateer on the Baltic sea. I gave tours for children and families at the Maritime museum here in Stockholm. So fun to guide in character! #maritimemuseum #storytelling #museum #history #sweden
After a dump of new snow yesterday, today it's sunny and 2C (feels like 8C) so I brought my #knitting out into a corner of sunshine.

Looks like someone got cold feet.
Had the tree guy in today to thin out our sugar maple. He trimmed off a small branch with this gorgeous frilly boll. East #Ottawa peeps needing a good tree guy, DM me.

My parents’ cat is a rescue. She came with a lot of hang-ups and traumas. She also came with a brush and oh wow did she love this brush. The brush was the secret to gaining this cat’s trust. She demands to be brushed twice a day otherwise she gets sad. The brush lasted 10 years. For the past three years my parents have tried every cat brush on the market and they have been WRONG and the cat has been sad. Until today. This Lee Valley bench brush is a good brush. #cat #catstodon #catsofmastodon
@jtheseamstress Interesting, that one is a plain steel pin but there are a couple of glass-headed pins holding artful folds in the veil at the shoulder and thigh. Funny place to have stuck the plain one during prep. An open area where they wouldn't (oops) forget it?
