Hi neuro folks, is there a way to create *threads* here? If not what are good ways to do something like that?
Anyone else have huge #anxiety before meetings they're supposed to lead? It's like I'm about to be on trial for some heinous crime, not speaking in front of colleagues.

Neurofrontiers is a bilingual blog about interesting neuroscience topics that tries to be accessible to the broader public while still maintaining scientific accuracy. It's run by a team of three people: a computational neuroscientist, a psychologist, and a graphic designer. We think that being on social media allows us to stay up-to-date with the most recent discussions in science and hope to be able to connect with like-minded individuals.

Every couple of years, someone decides to dig up Sergio Canavero and his ridiculous head transplant ideas. Why can't we just let it die already?
This is so cool! Instead of using the traditional approach of targeting already existing amyloid beta plaques, these researchers developed antibodies against truncated forms of soluble amyloid beta, virtually opening the door towards creating a vaccine against #Alzheimer's disease. There's still a long way to go, as the results need to be replicated in humans, but it's one of the more promising approaches I've seen recently.
