I just saw some fediblock drama again, and wanted to write this status as something I consider necessary.

Husky won't censor any instance.

Servers (Pleroma, Akkoma, Mastodon, Glitch and the rest of them) already provide tools for users to be able to mute users, conversations and whole instances. Husky already supports this.

If your instance blocks other instances, sorry for you. There is nothing a client can fix. But clients shouldn't block instances by default.

That being said, while I'm the maintainer, no instance will be blocked from using Husky.

Other people: I'm gonna switch to Edge/Ungoogled Chromium/Opera/Some other Chrome fork

That said. Dog will never be as cool as this gentoo penguin radio operator (National Geographic, circa 1980)

What does this mean for Husky? For now it's unclear. The article says it's for new accounts only.

@a1ba was distributing Husky in the Play Store long before this new policy. It shouldn't affect the availability of Husky in the Play Store, but we should wait and see what happens.

If this new policy affects a1ba's ability to get Husky into the Play Store, you can always get Husky from F-Droid or Codeberg self-releases.

I still can't believe that @FirefoxNightly is trying to kill the best UI option they have.

bored? try this: install gentoo on a 2007 intel atom netbook

Instead of trying to add my software water implementation into our software renderer, I did it in an OpenGL renderer that everyone uses and will use anyway. This code waited for this moment for two year until somebody reminded about it...

It doesn't use shaders, it's really just that software effect implemented modifying the texture and re-uploading to GPU.

I also found some bugs and fixed them. Now it looks pretty accurate in my opinion.
