Accel World. An #anime set in the future from Sword Art Online (although, it might as well be entirely distinct from it).

More VR goodness.

Sword Art Online. An #anime about an ultra-realistic VR game which hijacks all five senses.

An evil programmer (who created the game) traps them inside it, and anytime anyone dies in it, the helmet will kill them.

No Game No Life. A satirical comedic anime about a couple of super gamers who get transported to another world by the God of Games.

Everything in this new world revolves around games, and winning games.

Nyaruko: Crawling with Love / Haiyore! Nyaruko-san was a funny Cthulhu mythos inspired #anime filled with cute girls.

Prima Doll. An #anime about cute androids. Created for war and repurposed in a café.

A dark anime which I liked a fair bit was Hell Girl or Jigoku Shoujo. Tales of vengeance...?

Modern Magic Made Simple. An old, and maybe a bit obscure, #anime where you can cast magic spells by writing computer programs.

The Junji Ito Collection is such a strange, creepy horror anime. That is also why it can be so interesting to watch.

Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni (彼岸花の咲く夜に / "On the Night the Red Spider Lily Blooms") is probably better than Ciconia (and made by the same people to boot).

From what I remember, it's pretty short though.
