That is because it is (or was) subject to the scientific bandwagon effect where someone felt compelled to look for all kinds of "links" to "bad things".

And then, someone else has to come in with a better methodology to correct that.

Apparently, there is an upcoming paper which goes into how antagonistic narcissists might blame the problems in their lives on porn (rather than taking responsibility for being jerks to their partners).

So, that's going to be an interesting read.

@adam_wysokinski I don't know, he's already changed his mind on search, probably because of the influx of new users.

This week the UK Electoral Commission revealed that the electoral roll was hacked two years ago.

Emails, identifying information and addresses have been at the mercy of cybercriminals.

ORG's @marianods explains why this is so concerning for people who have opted out of the open register.

Study shows that on average, the citizens of 72 countries have gotten a small improvement in their well-being from using Facebook.

This calls into question the idea that Facebook might cause widespread psychological issues.

The silly debunked ED claim about online porn made a cameo (not on the fedi though)...

This study yet again shows how that is not the case (and points to a review which showed that is not the case).
