Is anyone familiar with #PeerTube? I'm aware of it as an option, but haven't explored it yet. My kink education YouTube channel with thousands of subscribers just got deleted. I'd be looking for a well-established adult instance that already has subscribers, ideally.

Development can take weeks or months to progress (plus, we usually have other priorities which compete with hobby projects for time), so don't expect me to implement something new every day.

Relays aside, the simplest approach here would be to have some sort of alt.

This feels like one which would be especially common on social media.

We often get the #anxious feeling that our every move is being scrutinized by others.

The #truth is, no one is paying as much attention to you as you are.

People are too concerned with how they appear to others to care much about how you appear to them

Mastodon appears to have lost around 40 thousand users (although, it's unclear whether this is from people leaving Mastodon, or just moving to a different fediverse implementation).

The drop is so sudden, that I'm gonna go with a migration of some sort.

Since someone seems to be offended, to be clear, I don't have a particular opinion on this.

Also, if they're doing mindfulness, I'm going to say they're doing mindfulness. I don't think it's helpful to create an aura of mystique over therapeutic practices.

Looks like there are hot days ahead. I thought we could get away without any more heat, the summer has been mostly wet and cold so far. Ah well, it'll be autumn soon! I guess we can handle one more heatwave! At least the nights are still below 20C. ☀️

I'm not commenting on this in the context of Mushoku Tensei, as it's not really that much of a serious anime, but unemployment in Japan is likely far more nuanced than simply "playing video games".

Perhaps, work / life balance? Or something down those lines.

People dropping out of the work force because they can't cope with the demands made of them is something I've read about before.

"The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) this week recommended that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) move marijuana from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, the most restrictive category, to Schedule III, where it would join medications such as Tylenol with codeine, buprenorphine, and anabolic steroids."

"But if cannabis is eventually moved to Schedule III, that change would signal a new understanding of the drug's risks and benefits. It also would facilitate cannabis research, and it would have important tax implications for state-licensed marijuana businesses. At the same time, it would leave federal marijuana prohibition essentially untouched."

I see the newest thing a scientist is doing to try to get people to stop using real child porn is to get them to do mindfulness exercises.

I think with nudges, they can be kind of annoying and feel like a bit of a nag for users. When I spoke to one, they likened it to a nanny.

One of the things which I like about Overlord over Mushoku Tensei is that the guy actually had a job (the other guy basically just played video games and stuff) prior to being reincarnated (even if he is a bit dumb and the story goes on about that a bit too much).

In fairness, him being a bit dumb is probably one of the biggest drivers of the plot which probably makes it more interesting.

More blue skinned aliens on my feed, lol.

Lol, someone going on about how someone complaining about "lolis" makes them want to do it even more.

That kind of sounds like psychological reactance. A known phenomena.

Wasn't Overlord originally some novel some random guy was posting onto the Internet?

Well hey, it's cool that he could get a publishing contract, if that is the case.
