"Warren, Michigan, police officer Matthew James Rodriguez has been charged with assault/assault and battery and public officer-willful neglect of duty, both misdemeanors. Rodriguez punched a man being booked into the jail, slammed the man's head against the floor, and shoved him into a cell. The assault was captured on video. Rodriguez was placed on leave and the department has begun the process to fire him."

"Dwyer said a 19-year-old Detroit man was being booked on suspected felony carjacking and weapons charges when the incident occurred."

Experts Exchange had a funny URL.

It was easy to read expertsexchange as "expert sex change" until they added a hyphen to better demarcate the word boundaries.

If you're involved in contracts and/or managing accounts *even a little*, you'll probably already know that NDAs are signed early and signed often.

Potential collab.? NDA.

Vendor relationship? NDA.

Ask what their engineers had for lunch? You bet your ass that's an NDA.

So the fact that some #MastoAdmin signed NDAs with Meta is just a rather minor data point with little significance.

For the next U.S. election, Biden would be better than Trump / DeSantis, although the Democrats really need more up and rising political figures...

For the mid-terms, the Democrats holding the Senate particularly, would be good to keep the courts in order.

Apparently, the moderators of the blind community's subreddit are themselves blind (wow) and Reddit broke their ability to moderate.

They're leaving Reddit for Lemmy.

While I'm not personally fond of hate speech, it tends to be packaged along with other restrictions on expression.

The term is also a bit nebulous. Also, how do you distinguish between poor humor and hate speech?
