He probably would have won too, because it was that one judge with a conflict of interest who was the problem.
https://reclaimthenet.org/putins-latest-law-criminalizes-online-anonymity Thought you'd seen the last of him? Think again.
He wants to eviscerate his people's rights in even more draconian ways.

That said, it shouldn't come to this either, people should be treating others with respect, not behaving in a disgustingly bigoted fashion. People should respect others on a platform.
I hear that #misskey has a racist trolls problem and is filtering new Western users out to attempt to mitigate that (after several awkward attempts at intervening).
That's probably one of the appeals of the fediverse. Someone can hunker down and new users can just route somewhere else.
Time for the next #anime #poll to allow the #fediverse to decide my viewing fate.
Here are the 5 choices chosen at random! Poll will run for 24 hours!

My Instant Seduction Ability Is So Overpowered, No One In This Other World Stands A Chance Against Me!
Lol, that's a joke.
I watched it but I didn't really like it so probably not.
https://arkansasadvocate.com/2023/08/01/lawsuit-over-texas-abortion-ban-could-be-a-model-in-other-states/ That is an interesting legal tactic.
https://arkansasadvocate.com/2023/07/26/sex-therapy-isolation-concerns-pile-up-in-arkansas-juvenile-lockups/ Incarcerated minors sexually assaulted by staff at Arkansas facility. Other problems there too.
"Five of eight juveniles interviewed by DYS investigators said that Mansfield staff would confine five youths to their rooms for 59 minutes at a time before rotating them out with five others in an apparent attempt to circumvent DYS isolation policy."
Ugh.
"engaged in “deviant sexual activity” with another"
I don't see how an activity being "deviant" is supposed to make a difference here (awful either way)? What does "deviant" even mean?
https://arkansasadvocate.com/2023/07/29/federal-judge-temporarily-blocks-two-sections-of-arkansas-library-obscenity-law/ Parts of this book ban bill won't go into force in Arkansas though. A judge has blocked them.

Pointing out that these internet laws (and a few others, probably) are unconstitutional (and from I remember, are held up in court)...
A bill forcing teachers in public schools to call students by their "birth name", unless they have parental consent and the teacher can just ignore parental preferences to call them by their "birth name" anyway.
A bill allowing someone who was "operated on as a minor" to sue the doctor for up to 15 years after they turn 18.
A bill mandates that students at public and charter schools use the bathroom matching their gender assigned at birth.
The "Protect Arkansas" Act is a complete mess. Some highlights:
Possession of (actual) child porn is punished more harshly (no parole) than things related to contact offenses (i.e. employing or consenting to the use of a child in a sexual performance).
Claiming something is actual child porn when it's not ("pandering") too.
They appear to criminalize HIV? That is usually a bad thing o.O
A felon possessing a firearm is treated the same as a murderer (no parole) o.O
No parole for "fleeing".
"Promoting prostitution, if a Class B felony" (this usually means something like promoting a specific prostitution, rather than advocacy). Suspicious...
"Performing an abortion in violation of Arkansas’ abortion ban" Have to serve out 85% of the sentence before being eligible for parole.
"Trafficking a controlled substance" Have to serve out 85% of the sentence before being eligible for parole.
"Terrorism, making a terrorist threat, falsely communicating a terrorist threat or hindering the prosecution of terrorism"
If someone calls in a bomb threat, they have to serve out 85% of the sentence before being eligible for parole.
"Encouraging suicide" If someone is an internet troll, they will presumably have to serve out 85% of their sentence before being eligible for parole.
Boosting this study in #asexual too (as they're the main ones it covers), although this one looks less active.
