Further, hosted services don't seem to work that well with VPNs (or going by what I've seen so far), and I don't want anyone to encounter difficulties in accessing the blog.
In addition, when looking into it, there were a lot of questions to be had about whether the customer service on such services are any good.
Typically, hosted services tend to take customers for granted, and both charge customers excessively, and provide sub-standard customer service.
"crazy person"
Someone might not like me using that term in a derogatory fashion but it gets the point across on a social network like this (I avoid using it a lot of the time, the point of it is for emphasis). I don't use it to address a *specific person*, I use it mainly to emphasize some phenomenon.
I followed the internal politics there a bit, because I like the idea of third parties, and it led the other third parties in one election (although, still like one or two percent of the vote).
One of the problems with QAnon like conspiracies is that someone can stumble on a random term like this, use it casually, and some crazy person might think it's part of some conspiracy or that it matters.
This is only one among six thousand of my posts but I am sure someone will take offense to it.
From what I've seen, those forensic psychologists use different terms all the time, especially over time. They don't seem to have a preference for a particular one. So, probably convenience.
"MAP"
Another term brought to you by a few forensic psychologists which makes people scratch their heads.
It comes from an org founded by a deceased sex offender and his therapist which appears to have some sort of therapy referral role. Forensic psychologists seem interested in it (because they like to study that sort of thing). It caught my attention as I read various bits of science, although barely for that reason.
It catches my attention a bit more because of QAnon. They imagine a cabal which might takeover the world (which is honestly giving them way too much credit). It becomes my issue because someone might come up with bad rights violating ideas because *they dislike this particular org* or that guy.
Given the rather evident social context, it's a term which might be used in a forensic adjacent manner (although, I don't like this term to begin with) out of convenience, or which might be passed through the Internet divorced of it's origin, although it is one which has mostly been phased out over the past few years.
