Chess hasn’t been updated in almost 200 years and it’s obvious the devs have abandoned it. The greedy creators took your money and laughed all the way to the bank.

I remember back in 705 AD when chess was fun. Then they started adding stupid features no one wanted like “castling” and “en passant” instead of listening to player feedback and fixing game-breaking bugs. I’ve been complaining for years about the collision-detection glitch with the horsey. The ‘clipping-through-pieces’ bug has been abused to death and the lazy devs refuse to fix it.

Don’t support this awful behaviour and boycott this company.

Reading all these articles about the high traffic from AI bots, here is my experience from a small German hoster: It's a huge problem, and it is getting worse very fast. There are bots like claudebot from Antrophic which are so aggressive that they block whole systems, outranking actual attacks for example against WordPress. And they change their AWS cloud IPs so often that blocking doesn't help for long and they also ignore robots.txt. Our on-call is regularly alerted for such issues.

I spent 10+ years doing security at Google. I did a bunch of clever things while there - AFL, The Tangled Web, and a lot more.

The code we use to launch the crash reporter is incompatible with Android 11+. This means we might have missed some major stability issues because nobody could submit the reports.

The reason why we didn't notice is that some device vendors - like Samsung, Sony and OnePlus - have likely disabled some backwards incompatible changes in the system to accommodate for their apps being incompatible with newer versions of Android... and those changes made our code appear to work on those devices.
