Is there any work out there that explores the intersection of static publishing and ActivityPub?

I'd love to be able to publish a site to GitHub Pages or similar static hosting while still having it participate to some extent in the fediverse.

What's possible here? Is this completely incompatible with how everything around here works or are there neat tricks you can pull off?

I'm fine running extra code at publish time, eg with GitHub Actions
