Fascists are recognized by cowardice: they never lead the coup d'état of their followers. Neither was Mussolini leading the march on Rome. He was ready to flee to Switzerland if things went bad. #bolsonaro
FYI according to this book¹ the march never took place, Mussolini was in Milan, he had convinced a handful of Italians to go to Rome with makeshift means, in the meantime he made agreements with the King and not knowing what to do with those men, they were ordered to do a walkway in front of the palace with the king looking out, they saluted him and were sent home.

I think the thing Mussolini and #Bolsonaro have more in common is that the former was brought to power by the British intelligence¹, while the latter by the CIA².

@post I believe that the evangelical churches played a more important role in the formation of Bolsonaro's fascism than the CIA. Fascism is unfortunately an entirely Italian subcultural product.
@post It was far less glorious than what fascist propaganda would later say. But there was no lack of violence against political opponents.
