With #RoamResearch being too expensive and #Notion having no end-to-end encryption, I've been looking for another app to serve as my online hub.

I have decided to give #RemNote another shot, to see if it'll fit the bill, as it's available on all of my devices. 🙂

@ednico I will always use both Logseq and Obsidian, but they're offline apps.

I'm planning to use RemNote as both an online repo for the knowledge I want to access on all my devices and as a central collection point for my PKM system!

@toran Ahh I understand what you mean. What really shocks me is the lack of proper security on Notion like E2E or 2FA.

Logseq does have Sync but I am waiting for it to be a bit more mature

@ednico indeed, which is one of the main things that put me off using it.

I'm using Logseq sync but the Android app is not publicly available yet, and it may not be for a good while!

@toran @ednico I'm using F-Droid and the "IzzyOnDroid Repo" to get the latest Logseq-Builds. Works fine for me.

@BalouX Thank you very much. I am downloading the apk files from the repo, but want to wait for the sync to develop a bit more

FYI IzzyOnDroid repo just takes APKs from the original devs (generally from their GitHub repo) and serves them in the form of a F-droid repo.

An alternative is using a new app called Obtanium that takes the APKs directly from GitHub repos so that you don't need to depend on IzzyOnDroid to add them:

github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium

P.S. Logseq Sync works decently well now but I can't use it for sensitive notes until they make everything FOSS and I can download reproducible builds.
