Kinda feels like #Twitter when you make a joke here about spy satellites providing close-ups of ant faces, and you get a reply offering a dissertation about why the author feels that would be impractical with current technology, including the math. I actually *do* know how this stuff works, dear readers.

@lauren Is not a limitation of current technology; is fundamental limitation of the physics. Did not realize you were making a joke, because appeared you were using it to support serious conclusions about geopolitics.

@radehi Let's drop this now. You really don't want to get into an argument with me about what is and isn't possible with technology given the will and money. I know the physics and the associated math.

@lauren @radehi You might know about physics and math, but what do you know about ants? Do they even have faces?

@captainslim @radehi I actually did consider that question before I posted. I went with YES, though I did consider saying "close up of their heads" as an alternative.

@lauren @captainslim OpenAI could unintentionally use ants with human faces as one of the optimization goals for their next project

@radehi @captainslim You have just described the aliens in the original "The Outer Limits" episode "The Zanti Misfits". Literally, large ants with human-like faces.
