re: FEDIBLOCK NOW

@bhtooefr @thegibson why would that be an AGPL violation? (Legitimate question sorry if I'm missing something simple)

@PINE64
Alright. Enough already with the cool "I must have one no matter if I need it or not" new products. Stop it. Stop. It!

... Pretty please?

@PINE64 the PineNote… thank you for ensuring I don’t spend money on a Remarkable or an iPad mini, brilliant!

@lanodan 100% I've been waiting for an eink device that could operate as a tablet. I know this wont be quite there but it's definetly a 'take my money' situation. @PINE64

Haha yeah absolutely, an e-ink screen seems great for terminal work and reducing eye-strain because you do not get either too much light in your face or not enough.

To anyone interested in the #Pinephone, or even the #Librem5 and #Linux #smartphones in general, we owe a huge debt of gratitude imo to #Megi.

He's not employed to do this, but donates hundreds of his own personal hours helping to get the hardware working, increase battery life (over and over) and generally make a huge amount of the smartphone progress we've seen, happen.

I'm personally extremely grateful and encourage everyone to donate at the bottom of his page here:

@snowdusk@tilde.zone thanks I'll check it out

@snowdusk@tilde.zone never heard of this. Is it a different IRC community?

That's awesome. (Reading the article now) Even if that's just standby that's a great improvement. @PINE64

@jarbus Honestly, the pinebook pro if you're not doing more than a bit of terminal stuff

@wholesomedonut
I forgot to mention the docking possibilities etc. Never got a dock for mine since I usually use it portably...I may fix that though.

Agreed with them though. This is the best laptop I've had in years. Granted my previous was getting outdated @jarbus

@jarbus
To bounce off what they said above...that battery life is no joke. On school work I've had it last a little longer than that window too. I believe you can charge it through the USB-C at a slower rate but I'd need to double check the wiki as that hasn't been my use case yet.

Portability I believe is on par/similar to a macbook air. @wholesomedonut
