@EmMerge why did you choose gentoo? Is that part of one of your videos? I haven't watched them all yet.

@EmMerge that's what I figured I just posted a picture of my finished i386 install of gentoo which I thought was a fun process and got that for a response.

@EmMerge
I just got into Gentoo but this can't be true. I feel like it's still really active except a few select packages I use. qoto.org/@kreyren/108236052676

@leo Nice! thanks for all the info. I'd like to start with a more minimal config.

@leo do you use vanilla emacs? I'm just started to get into Doom Emacs. I need my vim keys. Lol I've yet to be able to understand or grasp org mode yet. I've heard it's amazing.

@EmMerge oh okay. I even tried the pip version of qtile and that won't even start. So I'm using awesomewm temporarily. I've noticed a few packages I use are very out of date. I guess that means looking into writing ebuilds? Lol

@EmMerge the only major issue I'm having is that my qtile config is refusing to work. Other than that just getting used to portage.

@EmMerge I just switched(today) from Arch to gentoo using openrc.
