Hospital busting at the seams, hallway patients in the ED. 5 hour waits. Half the ED rooms are boarders waiting for a bed.
Meanwhile at #Humana HQ
Your patient with 5 compression fractures can't go to rehab despite having a bed... And your tube fed guy with DT's and sepsis doesn't meet inpatient criteria.
Read the room insurance folks... Your mothers would be ashamed of you. I'm embarrassed for you.
Fortunate to be off this Thanksgiving but have spent many working in the ER over the decades. Will go in tomorrow morning and on Sunday for two 24 shifts on the holiday weekend.
