A little boy and his father visited a country store. The dad picked up a few things and went over to pay for them. The owner of the store said to the little boy,
“Grab a handful of sweets.”.
The boy just stood there looking up at his father.
The owner repeated, “Son, grab a handful of sweets… they’re free.”
Again the boy didn’t move.
Finally the father reached into the candy jar, took a handful of sweets and gave them to his son.
As they walked back home, the father asked his son why he wouldn’t take a handful of the free candy.
“Because,” the boy answered, “your hand is bigger than mine.”

This Artist Paints With Bacteria, And It’s Strangely Beautiful
Mixed media artist Maria Peñil Cobo, who was born in Spain and currently resides in Massachusetts, told The Huffington Post on Thursday that she has often turned to nature as inspiration for her artwork. But instead of looking to vast oceans or forest landscapes, it’s the much smaller ecosystems that fascinate her the most.
Peñil has spent the past five years growing colorful bacteria, with help from microbiologist Dr. Mehmet Berkmen, and then “painting” the microbes into stunning masterpieces.
Check out more images and a video of Peñil painting here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.../artist-paints-bacteria...
“In the end, it was the Sunday afternoons he couldn't cope with, and that terrible listlessness which starts to set in at about 2:55, when you know that you've had all the baths you can usefully have that day, that however hard you stare at any given paragraph in the papers you will never actually read it, or use the revolutionary new pruning technique it describes, and that as you stare at the clock the hands will move relentlessly on to four o'clock, and you will enter the long dark teatime of the soul.”
