I've just posted a book review of Giovanni Aloi's I’m Not an Artist.

There are many myths about what artists are and should be. One of them is that artists should be morally pure, which means, among other things, to avoid selling out on the commercial market. Aloi seems to differ, arguing that arts educations don't teach students the practicalities of how to survive as an artist.
