Brian Fallon comments on Roy Woods's statements,
"A billionaire named Harlan Crow is flying Clarence Thomas all over the world on unreported trips like an Instagram model taking Clarence to the Maldives and the beaches and all – paid for his mama’s house – a billionaire paid for Clarence Thomas mama’s house. This man bought a Supreme Court justice.”
Fallon: "As that Roy Wood monologue suggests, this is a comedic level of corruption at this point.”
A jury of their peers, mind you.
Congratulations to AG Garland and his Justice Department team. To those critical of Garland's tenure, this is a strong counterargument.
May Tarrio and his counterparts have a long stay in prison. Imagine losing your freedom for Donald Trump, a guy who wouldn’t stop his limo to help you if you were on fire, much less give a single penny in your legal defense.
Jury convicts Enrique Tarrio of the Proud Boys on seditious conspiracy charge-

Mexicans don't understand why you're celebrating Cinco de Mayo https://www.tucsonsentinel.com/arts/report/050515_cinco_de_mayo/mexicans-dont-understand-why-youre-celebrating-cinco-de-mayo/
South of the border, Cinco de Mayo is no big deal.

Went to a donut shop in Japan today.
They had a CO2 monitor on the counter and a UV light on, plus circulating air through the ventilation system.
Also all the staff and most of the customers were masked. 😷
It's really not that hard and if a donut shop can do it we can certainly do it at least in schools and hospitals.

Big news in #Michigan: A county clerk who was an election denier faced a recall election. (She was accused of mishandling equipment.) She massively lost tonight & will be out of office.

I boost like a mug, even though there’s always some crank in the gallery who smugly announces “I’m muting you because you boost too much.” Go kick rocks, you anti-boostite. https://isfeeling.social/@matt/110293764114902837
Ukraine can win, even in Crimea. And if they do, the reverberations will be felt around the world. Jeffrey Goldberg and I reported from Mikolaiv, Kherson, Odessa, Kyiv:
In the Texas Hill Country folks are crazy for bluebonnets, but my favorite wildflower is the winecup. They’re rarer, and more adorable, and the color is just outrageous. Like if a tulip got busy with a rose and their progeny went off-grid.
Breaking from EJeanCarroll for sec, this from Angry Staffer, and it breaks my heart/makes my blood boil. Navalny is a damn hero:
According to #Navalny’s daughter, Russian prison officials are destroying the food he purchases and are not letting him eat more than a little bit at a time while he’s in solitary confinement.
He’s lost a *ton* of weight. #Russia
Retired public health scientist who loves numbers. One of the highlights of my life was when my daughter counted to 270 on her EOY kindergarten evaluation. 🤣
I rarely (never?!) post. I used Twitter as a news source and continuing ed source. I very much appreciate all the historians and lawyers on twitter who have helped me understand....some history and law of the U.S.
I love emojis and dog pictures. :)
