Conversely, I know many progressive people who won't help anyone.
I just don't get it.

As one who is struggling to survive without housing I know that first hand... not even progressive acquaintances are willing to assist... the only ones who have been are my parents who retired to a state where I would feel unsafe and wouldn't be able to receive medical care... a lot of people somehow see this as a rite of passage.... it's actually caused me to have disdain for a lot of people whose struggles are constantly broadcast while people pretend mine don't exist... where's the fight for intersectionality? guess they're all talk much like their politicians are

I worked with a man who I came to regard as a friend, who is still working full time at 76 because he can’t afford to retire and who votes Tory and worships Thatcher, and friendship ended when he squandered his inheritance saying easy come easy go. His father was a firefighter during the blitz….😏
