Today, the great people of a great country celebrate a great holiday - Independence Day. 32 years ago, Ukraine resumed its existence.
However, it is now forced to fight for its independence by fighting the Russians.
There is a bloody war going on, but Ukrainians are not giving up and are trying to live on. Even under these circumstances, they celebrate their day.
For the second year in a row, Ukraine has been celebrating Independence Day in the face of a full-scale war.
It is all hormones, blood sugar levels, and mood swings.
We do whatever our lizard brain decrees and the gray matter works overtime to come up with a rational explanation.
I expect the "soul mate" phenomenon to usually be short-lived. Later selves will deny the experience.
If necessary, the frontal lobes will hallucinate some type of romantic vision to explain our bizarre actions to our rational selves.
