It's nice to be able to post using **markdown** - it will also make posting code more natural
`print("Hello, Mastodon!")`
Although I've noticed that on the iOS app I'm using (the official one), markdown is not rendered. It is on the web platform.
Not sure about other apps…
_PS: I believe this is not a feature on all servers…_
@s_gruppetta You’ve got me envious now! I would love to see markdown as a feature. Below is how this appears for me using the official Mastodon iOS app.
@allenellis I’ve since discovered only people on my server (and any others that implement markdown) see the markdown. Everyone else sees the plain text version. Which defeats the purpose for me!
@allenellis FWIW, this is what it appears for those on the #qoto server – but it makes it a bit pointless to create toots with markdown when most people will see a plain text version of it!
