The EU has been making rules aimed at stifling US tech companies for years. They expected GDPR to harm big tech but it backfired because the regulation is so onerous it favors large companies that can hire armies of bureaucrats.
With DSA & DMA, they learned their lesson and crafted the laws to more narrowly target US big techs. There is still some collateral damage like roping in Wikipedia.
At this rate, the next law will just name Amazon, Mets, Google & Apple directly
