I put some words into an incredibly difficult-to-write piece about my experiences talking to men in software about sexism (both the science of it & the life of it) today.

I am really proud of this piece even though I have absolutely no idea where it might belong. Maybe in my book draft!

There's something about living (so far) through life-threatening illness that just makes you say listen--what if we just talk about what we REALLY want to talk about? What if we could do it with love

@grimalkina it would be SO GOOD to have a magazine that covers the social dimensions of computing. Pragmatic Programmers has tended to be that, but they publish book length work. I bet A List Apart would consider it, but maybe their audience isn't broad enough... Have you considered the Communications of the ACM? They sometimes publish first person feature articles that include scholarly references. I think WIRED would also consider it.

@natematias @grimalkina I wonder about Logic(s) Magazine for this? Their colophon says “The mission of Logic(s) is to draw in voices and perspectives that remain outside, underexplored, and essential to thinking critically about technology from below.”
