Africa will play important role in the global #hydrogen economy. At present, Africa as a whole accounts for only about 3% of global hydrogen, but could produce 30 to 60 million tons per year of green hydrogen by 2050. This would require between $680 billion and $1.3 trillion in investment, however.

It's #HillfortsWednesday - this is a feature called The Tump on Maes Knoll, an #IronAge #Hillfort in #Somerset #UK. Its purpose seems to be to block access to the hillfort from the ridge, and behind it is a deep ditch. There's a legend that a local giant made it, but it seems more likely to have been the Dobuni tribe around 250 BCE. The later Wansdyke supposedly terminates here, although there is some evidence that it continued onwards to Bristol. #archaeology
