Unfortunately bigger conspiracy than #COVID19 that kills more than covid19 and flu, is insane anti-science and killer advice to "reduce fever". It's immune system that raises fever (not virus), to kill pathogens.

Not a single evidence exists to support nonsense conspiracy theory that human body is incapable to regulate own temperature and ends up killing itself.

But this theory generates billions to pharma mafia by selling toxic drugs like paracetamol - with much more serious side effects.

@akeno
When I used to feel symptoms coming on, I'd get into a tub of water as hot as I could stand, to drive my temperature up.
When my body said, "We need to burn something out," I said, "Yes, let's get this done!"
I must be doing something right because I haven't had any cold/flu symptoms since... I don't even know... mid 80's?

@sda You shouldn't do that. Body knows when to raise temp. You can get heat shock in too hot bath just like on 50 degree C on sun. Actually opposite, taking cold (not freezing) shower or cold bath for few minutes feels good if u can't sleep. But that is rare. Point is body NEVER induces heat shock to itself if it's not influenced. Up to 39 degree C there is nothing to worry. Highest temp. I ever had was 40 when I was little. Actually taking antipyretics can make body overreact and shoot past 40.

> Body knows when to raise temp.

Exactly.

> Point is body NEVER induces heat shock to itself if it's not influenced.

Exactly.

BODY: I need some heat.
MIND: Ok, let's get some more.
BODY: That's enough.
MIND: (get out of tub)
SICKNESS: You've thwarted me.
BODY: Ah. Health.
MIND: Get on with life. Sickness never happened.

@sda I suspected before you are being sarcastic.

You have huge lack of understanding of human biology.
So stop fucking with me and rather read about actual science how immune system works, If u even heard about such thing exists.

But know, that people who have flu every year without taking any pharma toxic chemical pills or vaccinate and are still alive like myself prove you wrong.

@sda chriskresser.com/the-dangers-o

"Taken over several days, as little as 25 percent above the maximum dose, or just two additional pills a day, has been reported to cause liver damage."

But I guess according to your logic it's wise to tax body and organs like liver that is important in fighting pathogens with toxic chemicals. Or better yet mix in some ibuprofen because your doctor with 0 conflicts of interest said so, and 5 years later complaint you have heart problems (sideeffect of ibuprofen)

@akeno
Huh?
I don't take ibuprofen/tylenol/aspirin for fever reduction. I have no idea where you get that idea.
I've never been sick for at least 35 years of my 6+ decades of life.

@sda Your comments seemed like sarcasm and mocking. Accept my apology if I am wrong. You say you were never sick for decades, but than you say "When I used to feel symptoms coming on,"= that means you were already sick. So in 35 years you never had sore throat not even snot or cough?

@akeno
No sarcasm or mocking from here.

Sore throat maybe from dryness or singing too much. Snot from pollen occasionally, but nothing from "microbes."
I suppose peoples' definition of "sick" may vary somewhat also.
