I just finished the book Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. (I haven't seen the Apple series.) At first I didn't like it--the beginning felt a bit meanspirited. And much of the rest is the book is pretty dark, but in the end, it's a thoughtful story. Like all good sci-fi, it's not about the science but about our humanity and how our choices make us who we are. If you enjoy interesting sci-fi that isn't afraid to explore the dark corners of humanity, you might enjoy Dark Matter. search.app.goo.gl/oEbE5g1

@augieray I read that a few years ago. At first, I thought I had figured out the plot early and was feeling pretty disappointed. Then the story took a couple of unexpected turns, and I ended up really enjoying it.
