When I do #tarot readings I far prefer a 3×3 grid layout/spread.
The top row represents Thoughts & Decisions.
The middle row represents Feelings & Emotions.
The bottom row represents the Physical & Material world. This includes money, possessions and home.
The leftmost/first column is the past, as it pertains to the future.
The middle column is the near future.
The right hand column is the further future. Depending on when I am doing the reading this may be a few months or the next year.
The first card I turn over is always the centre card. This is the focus of the story I am to tell and other cards will be interpreted in relation to it.
If a reading leads me to a story with an unclear path I may draw a tenth card for clarity.
My cards are kept wrapped in a silk cloth. Some tarot practitioners believe this protects them from outside influence.. it certainly helps protect the cards and provides a clean surface on which to do a reading.
I have mentioned before that I am an atheist, but see tarot as a psychological tool. Readings can help people make up their minds about things they were previously indecisive about, comfort them that some troubles are transitory or that change need not be feared.
Beyond my bio, here's an introduction.
I am #progressive Englishman. I have had a number of different jobs over my lifetime. I worked in retail management, delivered pizzas to pay my way through university (which I went into at age 25). My degree is in European Contemporary Studies, so #politics , #economics, modern history and a smattering of sociology and other elements, including IT. The latter being learned at the emergence of the internet and MS Word/Excel/Access got me work and I am now a Data Analyst and Resourcing Manager for a large telecommunications company in their IP Networks division.
I love #NFL (American Football), and have been a fan of the Minnesota Vikings since 1992 (when I worked for a guy from Minnesota).
I love consuming content on #astronomy and #history - the past and the future .. and kind of the past too (in that all light from stars is old).
I like to wear tweeds when the weather is cool enough, am a massive fan of #doctorwho and #firefly. I love many sorts of music, but mostly older rock music.
I love #tarot cards and may well do some posts on such cards in the future. So tune in/follow if you want that sort of content.
I have been doing #LARP for nearly 40 years now, since its infancy in the 80s. I currently mostly play a #druid .. who (among other things) does card readings for other characters. I am told that my IC and OOC readings are spookily accurate. I should point out that I am an atheist, but see #tarot as a psychological and life-affirming tool.
I am married. No kids, but two pugs, one of which is a rescue.
Must be more .. but another time.
Just one Sicaran Battle Tank to assemble and then I'll be done .. for now.

After not assembling or painting anything for months, I have nearly finished 3 vehicles for GW's Horus Heresy. Just awaiting some parts and some bits drying before I can continue.

I am 57. For me, this is a hard time of life as both of my parents are very elderly and frail with different health issues. I get up to visit them approx every 3 weeks, or more often when emergencies happen.
This makes planning anything else tricky and I find it hard to concentrate on any hobbies.
I am sure that others are going through or have been worse. My wife lost her mother to cancer some 20 years ago and worries about losing her only parent, her father, who has lost the use of an eye and got sciatica, leaving a formerly fit and active man a lot less mobile.
I am incredibly level-headed person, with no mental issues (kudos to those who suffer similar through depression or worse .. like my wife) .. but even I find this period tough. It may last another year or another ten, depending on the health of my parents. They have of course been a fixed thing in my life; always there .. just older than me.
I know my mother finds it hard as my father is frailer than her (he's on oxygen almost 24 hours a day), but they still enjoy life, even if my father is largely house-bound. My mother always ruled the roost, but is prone now to fits of temper as she struggles to cope with my forgetful and hard-of-hearing father.
Where's this going?
Life has its hard periods.
Look for the light and the fun when you can to see you through the darker times.
Rats injured 3 of my orcs and had a BuB sent off by an Officious Ref on initial kick off. I finally remembered to use "Projectile Vomit' from my Troll .. and he kept throwing up on himself! Lost 4-0
Workman in who reinforced weak part of fence left by dodgy cowboys. Also replaced gate: needed after neighbours had new fence fitted.
Flower beds weeded.
Trip to dump.
Visited garden centre to buy plants, compost and a lot of landscape bark.
Flower beds treated, bark spread.
Potting of new plants can wait until tomorrow.
So much for a relaxing weekend.
Takeaway tonight though.

It's #WerewolfWednesday, and I have a story I really wanna share:
In 1691 an 80-something Livonian man named Old Thiess was called to court as a witness in a theft case. As he was sworn in, another witness laughed: "How can he swear a holy oath when everyone knows he is a werewolf?"
The judges immediately forgot about the thief and put Old Thiess on trial. He calmly admitted that yes, indeed he was a werewolf.
