Isn't it dehumanizing when (distinguished and esteemed) colleagues, wanting to describe their interaction with stochastic parrots, propose a comparison with a discussion with their (possibly mediocre) students?
In any case, I hate it.

@sojournTime It could be in response to him, but this tendency is way more generalized. And he only addressed the question whether students should only judged by this ability, not by the point I was trying to make that comparing the behavior of AI to that students is intrinsically dehumanizing students.
