Attention! I recently learned that the behaviour of lying flat out on the belly with arms and legs spread out that some animals do, often to cool off, by radiating heat into the cooler ground, is called "splooting." I personally have been calling it "going full rug", but I guess splooting is also hilarious. So here's a red panda splooting, in case you need a demonstration. #RedPanda

Do Fremen babies have stillsuits that collect all their drool?

1. History is not there for you to like or dislike.
2. History is there for you to learn from it.
3. History offends you? Even better. Then you are less likely to repeat it.

Read this out loud, then read it again. Then teach it to your children and grandchildren.

Some people believe there's no purpose to "liking" something on Mastodon since it doesn't affect any algorithm.

Not the case.

It does something incredibly valuable: it acknowledges people.

Which is incredibly powerful, and is all the more important *because* it's not connected to gaming any algorithm.

By liking something on Mastodon, you are doing it honestly -- without any agenda at play other than that you like it.

So go ahead. Click that like button for its own sake.

#TIL about five-room dungeons: a plot device often used for planning #ttrpg one-shots. It involves five rooms:
1. The Entrance and Guardian
2. The Puzzle/Trap/Social Encounter
3. The Setback
4. The Climax/Battle
5. The Reward/Reveal

@Adhdinos

I don't know if there's a way to do this better, being new to the platform, but @Julian_Invictus I think I found you in this image (saw your post about the dentist).

Can relate!

@supernovae@universeodon.com @noom That's my memory of it, too, though I think on a different computer. Oregon Trail and a game about taking photos on the Amazon River were my favourites in the computer lab. Good memories!

@noom @feditips It's a feature of the instance I'm in, allowing you to follow a person's public posts without *following* them.

@feditips

Is there a way to see which accounts I've requested to follow? I can see who I'm following, but there are some I think I requested before I knew what I was doing and I'd like to check their profiles and maybe subscribe instead.

@noom

I figured as much. Bah! At least it will save me money. 😂

@noom

Yeah, there's no way I'd even consider spending that much on a game...as much as I love Sonic.

Actually...if there was an amazingly well done and beautiful Chao raising aspect of the game that outshone the one in Adventure Battle 2, I would totally consider it and probably impulse purchase it because I have no self control...but I don't think there is.

...

...

Is there? 🥺
