One of the things I really enjoyed about twitter when I started using it some years back
was that is made it easier to connect to the evolutionary genetics community - it was basically like an online journal club with lots of paper discussions. I don't think twitter has been working like that as much lately, but this is something I would like to see on Mastodon, and I will do my best to contribute too. #SMBEfolks #ESEBfolks #popgen

What happened?

@stdKznFU Yeah, I don't know to be honest. It still works for finding papers, but there is much less scientific discussion. Ratio has shifted towards ads of various kinds (jobs, conferences, also new papers) which is fine too but I miss the discussion.
