@nakdim
Thanks, Dimitris. Very useful!
@albertcardona Thanks, Albert. Nice meeting you here!
Hi All #Introduction
I'm Tanja, also a recent Twitter migrant ..
I'm a biologist with a focus on neuroscience. In my postdoc in Ole Paulsen's lab (Neuronal Oscillation Group) at Cambridge University (UK) I investigate the role of neuromodulators on synaptic plasticity and memory.
I also like filming stuff and 3D animation, so will occasionally post science videos here, in addition to other science-related posts.
Looking forward to meeting you all here!
Worried about how your reviewed preprints can contribute to funding, grant and job applications?
Today, we're pleased to announce some of the funders and research organisations embracing reviewed preprints as an alternative way to assess researchers: https://elifesciences.org/for-the-press/e5423e39/funders-support-use-of-reviewed-preprints-in-research-assessment?utm_source=linkedin&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organic
New paper shows (as many papers before) that code that is shared will often not run. This is to be expected - few of us had training in this. But if you share code, go through checklists to prevent the most common mistakes. From the paper: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-022-01143-6 For some extra suggestions, see my textbook chapter on computational reproducibility: https://lakens.github.io/statistical_inferences/computationalreproducibility.html#some-points-for-improvement-in-computational-reproducibility
