I am feeling sorry for Rishi Sunak right now. Now stay with me... He's about to get blamed for the fall of the Tories as a political force in the UK, and the end of venerable party. But it's actually Liz Truss' fault, she was the last straw. And though she was the final, substantial blow, it came after more than a decade of Tories burning everything down.

Sunak never had a chance.

@quinn It began with Cameron's irresponsible gamble. Also, Sunak will not have any less food on the table, unless those suffering from the austerity inflicted by consecutive Tory governments.

I mainly mean, how people will treat him and how he'll be remembered. He's not going to be able to get loved on by American conservatives like Truss, he's just going to have to mope in his Venice Beach mansion.
